Marvin Diaz Turcios

Marvin's work involves synagogue maintenance security.  He has experience in catering and occasionally supports our food services. He is from El Salvador, where he grew up on a small island between the mainland, Honduras, and Nicaragua.  Marvin moved to New York City in 1986.  When he is not at work, Marvin likes to play and watch soccer and spend as much time as he can with his wonderful daughters (ages 14 and 20).

Omer Board

Shearith Israel’s “Omer Board” dates back to the Mill Street Synagogue of 1730, and may indeed go back to the early years of the Congregation’s history.
