Brexit and the Bible: A Reflection on Nations, Empires, and Jewish History

Rabbi Meir Soloveichik

Monday, December 17, 7:00PM

Modern Britain faces significant choices regarding its future. The Brexit debate is dividing the country; meanwhile, rabbinic leadership in England has openly referred to the leader of the opposition--and very possibly a future Prime Minister--as anti-Semitic. In a lecture drawing on the lives of Churchill, Disraeli, British Chief Rabbis, as well as Jewish political thought, we will ponder the future of England, Anglo-Jewry, and the future of Europe itself.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
