High Holiday Seating Information For Full Members

If you are a full member and by September 6th you have not yet received an email or a letter regarding High Holiday seating, please email Sarah Gross.

Main Sanctuary Seating:

Individual, Young, and Add-On (Student) Memberships include one reserved seat in the Main Sanctuary. Family Memberships include two seats, one in the men’s section and one in the women’s section. If you have a permanent assigned seat, and you opt-in this year, that seat will be reserved for you for the High Holidays.

If you do not have a permanent assigned seat, and you opt-in this year, you will be assigned a temporary seat for this holiday season (in some cases, not all family members hold permanent assigned seats).

Members may request additional holiday seats for family members and guests. Additional seats in the Main Sanctuary are $400 per person, subject to availability. Please click here to submit requests and make payment for additional seats. Seat requests will not be filled without payment and charges for seats cannot be added to your account.

Tickets will be sent this year by email (except to those congregants who do not have email who will receive them by USPS). You will need to print your tickets at home and bring them to services. Please do not bring smartphones or present digital tickets; paper only please.

Important reminders: As always, seats in the Main Sanctuary are in great demand. Please pay close attention to our opt-in seating procedures which require that you let us know if you will be needing your seats this year. Also, seat assignments will be honored only to members whose accounts are current. All arrears (membership dues, fees, offerings, sponsorships or other past due items) must be settled before seating requests are processed, and no later than September 15th. If you do not respond by September 15th we may temporarily reassign your seat for this High Holiday season.

The Parallel Service:

The Parallel Service, held in the Levy Auditorium, is led by Associate Hazzan, Rev. Philip L. Sherman.  At the conclusion of services on the first day of Rosh Hashana, Parallel Serivce ticket holders will join their fellow congregants in the Main Sanctuary for Rabbi Soloveichik's sermon.   Throughout the second day of Rosh Hashanah and on Kippur day (until Neilah), Parallel Service ticket holders attend services in the Main Sanctuary. Main Sanctuary ticket holders are welcome to join the Parallel Service any time. Seats for Parallel Services are $180 for one or all days. Click here to sign up for Parallel Services.

Tickets will be sent this year by email (except to those congregants who do not have email who will receive them by USPS). You will need to print them at home and bring them to services (please do not bring smartphones or present digital tickets; paper only please).

Children’s programming is available on the both mornings of Rosh Hashanah and throughout Kippur (Kal Nidre, Kippur morning and Neilah) and is open to all participants.

If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Gross at 212-873-0300, x 230.

To ensure everyone’s security, no one can be admitted to the building on Rosh Hashanah and Kippur without a printed paper ticket.
